Abstract
Praca w swojej części teoretycznej porusza widoczną w literaturze trudność w postawieniu granicy pomiędzy takimi pojęciami jak "afekt", "emocja", "uczucie", czy "nastrój" oraz zawiera próbę usystematyzowania bieżącej wiedzy z uwzględnieniem różnych ujęć teoretycznych. Efektem tej systematyzacji jest autorska propozycja wieloaspektowej definicji emocji. Ponadto, w pracy został wyróżniony zbiór atrybutów kryterialnych emocji, na podstawie których wskazano słowa służące do opisu stanów spełniających wyróżnione atrybuty. Procedura ta doprowadziła do wyłonienia 167 deskryptorów emocji będących podstawą badań ilościowych. Badania przeprowadzono na grupie 1 226 osób z uwzględnieniem dwóch perspektyw opisu: samoopis (N = 635) oraz opis postrzeganych emocji (N = 591). Jako rozwiązanie optymalne dla obu perspektyw opisu uznano rozwiązanie dziewięcioczynnikowe. Jednakże, jak wykazała analiza kongurencji, rozwiązania re nie mogą zostać uznane za tożsame ze sobą. Struktura powstała na bazie samoopisu mocniej akcentuje emocje związane z introspekcją a struktura postrzeganych emocji te z emocji, które mają związek z budowaniem relacji społecznych. Ponadto w pracy wskazano współwystępowanie uzyskanej struktury leksykalnej emocji z popularnymi w literaturze klasyfikacjami emocji, uczuć, nastroju, afektu oraz osobowości. Zaproponowano także da narzędzia psychometryczne służące do pomiaru emocji.
The theoretical part of the paper deals with the difficulty that authors face when attempting to draw clear lines between concepts such as affect, emotion, feeling or mood. It also attempts to systematic the current body of knowledge in a way that reflects various theoretical approaches. The result of that attempt is a multifaceted definition of emotion formulated by the author. The paper presents a set of criterional attributes of emotion as the basis for identifying words to describe the states that meet such criteria, The research was conducted among a group of 1,226 people, including subjects who were asked to describe their own emotions (N = 635) and subjects who were asked to describe emotions they found in other people (N = 591). A nine-factor structure was identified as the optimum one for both the self-description and the description of others. In the structure for the self-description, the emotions related to introspection stood clearly in the foreground. In contrast, in the description of others, emphasis is placed on emotions that play a role in building social relations. Moreover, it is noted that the lexical structure of emotions produced by the lexical structure of emotions produced by the author correlates with popular classifications of emotions, feelings, mood, affect and personality proposed in the literature, and two psychometric instruments for measuring emotions are proposed.
