Abstract
Artykuł stanowi syntetyczne omówienie wartości i aktualności Storia di Cristo Giovanniego Papiniego. Przypominając polski przekład tej książki, dokonany przez Wincentego Rzymowskiego, autor formułuje postulat nowego tłumaczenia dzieła włoskiego pisarza. Powinno ono być kompletne, możliwie wierne oryginałowi i wszechstronnie uwzględniać niezbędne konteksty kulturowe. The article is a synthetic discussion of the value and topicality of Giovanni Papini’s Storia di Cristo. Recalling the Polish translation of this work by Wincenty Rzymowski, the author formulates a proposal for a new translation of the Italian writer’s work. It should be complete, as faithful as possible to the original, and it must take the necessary cultural contexts comprehensively into account.
