dc.description.abstractUntil World War II pastoral care of compatriots living and working in Switzerland was provided, first of all, by Polish priests students. Clerics sent to study at the University of Freiburg, combined academic duties with pastoral ones. Each time they informed their diocesan or monastic superiors, and later the Primate of Poland about their pastoral activities. The assessment of the status and situation of Polish chaplaincy in Switzerland was presented by Rev. Kazimierz Michalski in the report included in this paper.
