    Anomia COVID-19. Próba identyfikacji zjawiska

    Zjawisko anomii należy wiązać z okresami przejścia, zwłaszcza ze zmianami o charakterze gwałtownym. Szczególnym rodzajem tego typu zmian są następstwa klęsk czy kataklizmów, w tym epidemii. Szerząca się choroba wystawia na próbę nie tylko system zabezpieczeń materialnych, lecz także skutkuje aksjonormatywną przebudową społeczeństwa. Ostatecznie też prowokuje pytanie o możliwość wypracowania właściwej dla tej sytuacji „nadrzędności aksjologicznej”. Scenerią urzeczywistnienia się współczesnej anomii jest pandemia COVID-19. Pełna diagnoza tego fenomenu wymaga dłuższego dystansu czasowego. Analizy ex ante powinny koncentrować się na skonstruowaniu odpowiedniego narzędzia diagnozy. Taki też jest cel niniejszego artkułu. Anomie is associated with transitional periods, and in particular with rapid change processes. The aftermath of a disaster or a calamity, including epidemics, can serve as one example of such changes. The spread of the disease not only puts to test financial security, but also brings about the axionormative redevelopment of the society. And eventually it also raises questions about the feasibility of axiological orders and axiological superiority in such situations. The contemporary context where anomie is emergent is the COVID pandemic. A full evaluation of this phenomenon requires a longterm approach. Ex ante analyses should focus on developing accurate evaluation tools, which is the research objective of this article.

    Economy, State, and Society as an Interpretative Triad of Attitudes Towards Protected Areas Among Its Residents. On the Example of Pieniny National Park in Poland

    This article addresses the issue of the attitude of local people towards protected areas. The subject of the analysis is a special area—the Pieniny National Park in Poland, which is an interesting mosaic of natural and man-made ecosystems. These areas stand out in terms of their historical heritage. The aim of the article is not only to create a descriptive analysis of the issue, but also to present an innovative structure of the diagnosis, which serves to solve the problem of adjustment of the basic spheres of human activity to the areas of natural value. The article therefore consists of two interrelated parts. In the first one, a theoretical structure is presented, built on the basis of key interpretative areas for the discussed issue: economy, state and society. The second part is a report from the conducted research, which supplements the basic concept with attempts at original systematization of the obtained results.

    Judaizm i ekonomia. Związek judaizmu z życiem gospodarczym

    Artykuł podejmuje tematykę związku judaizmu z szeroko rozumianą aktywnością gospodarczą. Przedmiotem rozważań jest typowe dla etyki żydowskiej rozumienie pieniądza, bogactwa, pracy i gospodarczych inicjatyw. Fundamentalne dla życia gospodarczego kwestie ujęte zostają w odniesieniu do ksiąg uznanych za święte i szczególnie ważne w tej religii (Stary Testament, Talmud). Równie ważne są referencje do kulturowych interpretacji judaizmu, w tym do dzieł klasyków tematyki – Jacquessa Attaliego czy Wernera Sombarta. Kluczowym dla tematyki pojęciem jest „bogactwo”, którego znaczenie zostaje wyprowadzone kolejno z Biblii (Księga Wyjścia) i Talmudu. Ostatecznie ekonomika żydowska daje się przedstawić jako wytwór kultury osadzonej i ufundowanej na religii, a majątek zyskuje etyczną legitymizację. Wywód wieńczą historyczne przykłady aktywności gospodarczej Żydów, będące jednocześnie dowodem na wzajemne powiązania bogactwa i religii. This article deals with the relationship of Judaism to economic activity. The subject is the typical approach of Jewish ethical thought, concerning the understanding of money, wealth, jobs and economic initiatives. Issues related to fundamental economic life are shown to be covered in the books that the Jewish community considers sacred. Particularly important are the Old Testament and the Talmud. Also important are references to the cultural interpretation of Judaism, including the classical works on the subject – Jacques Attali and Werner Sombart. The key concept is the subject of “wealth,” the meaning of which is derived from the Bible’s Book of Exodus and the Talmud. Finally, the foundations for Jewish economic thought can be expressed as the product of an embedded culture, which is founded on religion, in which property acquires ethical legitimacy. The argument is crowned with historical examples of the noble economic activity of the Jewish people, which also give evidence of the interrelatedness of religion and the proper use of wealth.
