    Biogramy wraz z bibliografią podmiotową i przedmiotową duchownych diecezji kieleckiej w Słowniku Polskich Teologów Katolickich. Sprawozdanie z wykonanych prac

    Sprawozdanie obejmuje prace polegające na opracowaniu biogramów duchowieństwa diecezji kieleckiej do Słownika Polskich Teologów Katolickich. Badania te rozpoczęły się w latach siedemdziesiątych i były publikowane w poszczególnych tomach słownika. Pierwszy tom słownika wydano w 1981roku. W 2019 roku ukazał się najnowszy – 10. tom. Biogramy duchowieństwa z czasów funkcjonowania diecezji kieleckiej XIX-XXI wiek były zwykle opracowywane przez duchownych należących do kieleckiego środowiska naukowego związanego z Seminarium Duchownym w Kielcach. Tereny diecezji kieleckiej w średniowieczu i w nowożytności wchodziły w skład diecezji krakowskiej i archidiecezji gnieźnieńskiej. Biogramy duchowieństwa działającego w tamtym czasie zwykle były sporządzane przez księży nie związanych ze środowiskiem teologicznym działającym w Kielcach. Dzięki słownikowi większość kieleckich pisarzy kościelnych, którzy pozostawili publikacje odznaczające się walorami naukowymi, posiada dobrze udokumentowane biogramy złożone z życiorysu naukowego, bibliografii podmiotowej i przedmiotowej. The present report covers the work consisting in compiling biographies of the clergy of the Kielce diocese for the Dictionary of Polish Catholic Theologians. The research began in the 1970s and was published in the form of individual volumes of the dictionary. The first volume was published in 1981. In 2019, the 10th and latest volume was published. Biographies of the clergy from the period of 19th – 21st century were usually prepared by priests belonging to the Kielce scientific community and associated with the Kielce Seminary. In the Middle Ages and in modern times, the area belonging now to the Kielce diocese was part of the Krakow diocese and the Gniezno archdiocese. Biographies of the clergy working in the diocese at that time were usually drawn up by priests not connected with the theological environment active in Kielce. Thanks to the Dictionary, the majority of church writers from the Kielce area who have left behind any publications of scientific value have well documented biographies consisting of a scientific biography supported by primary and secondary sources.

    Dorobek dydaktyczny księdza Daniela Olszewskiego zakresie historii Kościoła

    W latach 1972-2010 ks. Daniel Olszewski był wykładowcą historii Kościoła w Wyższym Seminarium Duchownym w Kielcach. Po 10 latach doświadczenia pracy wykładowcy wydał podręcznik pt. "Dzieje chrześcijaństwa w zarysie". Podręcznik był wydawany łącznie 4 razy. Poprzez swoją pracę wykładowcy zapewnił sobie ważne miejsce w dziejach dydaktyki. Jako doświadczony badacz historii oraz nauczyciel akademicki brał udział w tworzeniu dwóch podręczników dziejów Kościoła wydanych na Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim. Poprzez recenzje odnosił się do ruchu wydawniczego w zakresie podręczników dziejów Kościoła. From 1972 to 2010, Fr Daniel Olszewski lectured on the history of the Church at the Kielce Higher Theological Seminary. After ten years of teaching, he published a textbook entitled "An Outline of the History of Christianity". The manual has been pub-lished four times. Thanks to his work as a lecturer, he has taken an important place in the history of teaching. As an experienced historical researcher and academic teacher, he participated in the creation of two textbooks on the history of the Church published at the Catholic University of Lublin. In his reviews, he referred to the publishing of text-books on the history of the Church.

    Dorobek historiograficzny kieleckich historyków kościelnych (XX/XXI w.)

    Artykuł obejmuje dorobek historiograficzny grupy dwudziestu księży diecezji kieleckiej tworzących w ostatnim półwieczu. Przebadany materiał objął około 800 prac historycznych. Rozwinięte nurty badań związane są z przedmiotem: polska kultura religijna, synody w dwudziestoleciu międzywojennym, liturgia bożogrobców i krzyżaków, prasoznawstwo. Z regionalnej tematyki poziom rozwoju osiągnęły badania nad dziejami diecezji kieleckiej − duchowieństwo, życie religijne, seminarium duchowne, dzieje parafii i klasztorów, piśmiennictwo, duszpasterstwo z okresu II wojny światowej. Do nurtów rozwijających się należą badania nad księgozbiorami historycznymi i zasobami archiwalnymi. Naczelne miejsce w historiografii diecezjalnej zajmuje ks. Daniel Olszewski − twórca oryginalnego nurtu polskiej kultury religijnej. The article focuses on the historiographic achievements of 20 priests from the Diocese of Kielce who have written their works in the last half century. The studied material covered about 800 historical works. The research areas which have been widely studied are related to the following subjects: the Polish religious culture, synods in the interwar period, the liturgy of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre and the Teutonic Order, press study. Local subjects under study refer to the history of the Diocese of Kielce: the clergy, religious life, the theological seminary, the history of parishes and monasteries, literature and pastoral work during World War II. The developing trends include research on historical book collections and archival fonds. In the diocesan historiography, a leading figure is Rev. Daniel Olszewski, the creator of the original trend of the Polish religious culture.

    Dorobek historiograficzny ks. Józefa Zdanowskiego obejmuje 24 publikacje (w tym broszury i książki) oraz 22 rękopisy. Do najważniejszych jego prac należą: opracowanie na temat malarza Hansa Suessa von Kulmbach, opracowanie kieleckich rękopisów średniowiecznych, 2 prace o dziejach seminarium duchownego w Kielcach, podręcznik historii Kościoła w Polsce, podręcznik dziejów sztuki chrześcijańskiej oraz prace o klasztorach: norbertanek w Krzyżanowicach i Imbramowicach, bożogrobców w Miechowie i bernardynek w Świętej Katarzynie koło Bodzentyna. The historiographical output of the Rev. Józef Zdanowski comprises of 24 publications (including brochures and books) as well as 22 manuscripts. The most significant ones constitute: the work on the painter Hans Suess von Kulmbach, the study of Kielce medieval manuscripts, two works on the Kielce seminary, the textbook on the history of the Church in Poland, the textbook on the history of Christian art and the works on the monasteries of Premonstratensians in Krzyżanowice and Imbramowice, of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre in Miechów and on the monastery of St. Catherine in Bodzentyn.

    Druk ulotny na temat objawień Maryjnych w Dzierzgowie w roku 1664

    Jan Myszkowski w czasie bitwy pod Beresteczkiem (1651) otrzymał bizantyjską ikonę Matki Bożej. Ikona była wykonana na przełomie XVI i XVII wieku. Obraz ten trafił do kościoła parafialnego w Dzierzgowie na terenie diecezji krakowskiej. W roku 1664 na obrazie pojawiły się łzy, które uznano za zjawisko cudowne. Biskup krakowski Andrzej Trzebicki wydelegował do Dzierzgowa komisję, która badała okoliczności wydarzenia. W związku z objawieniami wydrukowano anonimowe opowiadanie o tych wydarzeniach. Opowieść o objawieniach w Dzierzgowie została wydana w postaci druku złożonego z dwóch kart. Druk obecnie znany jest tylko z jednego egzemplarza. Praca poświęcona temu źródłu złożona jest z omówienia i edycji krytycznej. Wespazjan Kochowski, opracowując dzieje Polski, dokonał własnej interpretacji cudownego wydarzenia. Jego zdaniem łzy pojawiły się na obrazie z powodu niesprawiedliwego traktowana polskiego magnata Jerzego Lubomirskiego przez dwór królewski. W tej interpretacji Matka Boża płakała w Dzierzgowie, gdy król Jan Kazimierz i królowa Ludwika Maria Gonzaga przygotowywali skierowane pod adresem Jerzego Lubomirskiego niesprawiedliwe oskarżenie o zdradę. Jan Myszkowski received the icon of the Byzantine Mother of God during the Battle of Beresteczko (1651). The icon was made at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The painting was placed in the parish church in Dzierzgów in the diocese of Cracow. In 1664, tears appeared in the painting, which was considered as a wonderful phenomenon. The Cracow Bishop Andrzej Trzebicki delegated the commission to Dzierzgów whose aim was to examine the circumstances of the event. In addition, an anonymous story about these events was printed. The story of the apparitions in Dzierzgów was published in the form of a two-card print, which is currently known only from one copy. The work devoted to this source consists of a discussion and critical edition. Wespazjan Kochowski, while working on the history of Poland, made his own interpretation of the wonderful event. In his opinion, tears appeared in the painting due to the unjust treatment of a Polish magnate Jerzy Lubomirski by the royal court. In this interpretation, Our Lady cried in Dzierzgów when King Jan Kazimierz and Queen Ludwika Maria Gonzaga unfairly accused Jerzy Lubomirski of betrayal.

    W Archiwum Diecezjalnym w Kielcach znajduje się kolekcja zdjęć zinwenta­ryzowanych w postaci 480 j.a. Jest to znacząca kolekcja dla dziejów diecezji kieleckiej. Obejmuje ona fotografie wykonane w XX i XXI wieku, często do­tyczy osób, które żyły na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. Zdjęcia te są dokumenta­cją załącznikową do akt kancelaryjnych Kurii Diecezjalnej w Kielcach. Część z nich to spuścizny duchowieństwa. W odniesieniu do analizowanych zdjęć należy używać pojęcia dokumentacja fotograficzna.

    Geneza i program Studium Historii Diecezji Kieleckiej

    The Diocese of Kielce History Course (popularly called “Guide Course of the Diocese of Kielce”) operating since 2013 is the work of the Diocesan Archive of Kielce. The objective of the course is to realize the archive’s statute: to share knowledge about the archive records and library sources based in the Diocese of Kielce. In view of the need to promote the history of the Church, the curriculum of lectures has been developed, covering various aspects of the history of the diocese; among others: the history of the diocese, archive studies, book science, codicology, hagiography, biographistics, history of art, liturgics, history of ecclesiastical institutions. The organization of the course involved developing the curriculum that exposes the treasures of the diocese and the history of the Church in the historical boundaries of the diocese as well as creating the team of expert lecturers from the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce and the Seminary of Kielce. The team has gathered around the Blessed Wincenty Kadłubek Society of Friends of the Diocesan Archive in Kielce. The students of the course are people interested in history who, according to the practical aim of the course, are instructed and formed so that they could in the future serve their parishes as guides to the places of religious and historical meaning in the Diocese of Kielce.

    Katalog rubrycel i schematyzmów polskich cystersów znajdujących się w księgozbiorze podręcznym Archiwum Diecezjalnego w Kielcach (1788-1816)

    W Archiwum Diecezjalnym w Kielcach znajduje się zbiór kalendarzy i katalogów różnych diecezji i prowincji zakonnych Polski, zawierający druki z XIX–XX w. oraz kilka starodruków. Częścią tej kolekcji są kalendarze i katalogi cystersów (pięć starodruków oraz sześć druków dziewiętnastowiecznych). Przedmiotem badań w niniejszym artykule są rubrycele i schematyzmy cystersów. Badane druki cysterskie pochodzą z przełomu XVIII i XIX w., czasu zaborów i zmian granic ziem polskich. Rubrycele i katalogi przedstawiają zmieniającą się przynależność jurysdykcyjną polskich klasztorów cysterskich. Omawiane druki składają się z kalendarza (rubryceli) oraz katalogu (schematyzmu). Rubrycela – kalendarz liturgiczny – stanowi cenne źródło do badań nad służbą bożą polskich cystersów. Cennym źródłem historycznym jest drukowany katalog klasztorów i osób, współwydany z Directorium. Dodatkowym źródłem jest wykaz zmarłych, drukowany od 1803 r. Spośród 11 cysterskich druków zachowanych w Archiwum Diecezjalnym w Kielcach siedmiu nie odnotowano w Bibliografii polskiej Estreicherów (pięciu starodruków z okresu staropolskiego i dwóch druków dziewiętnastowiecznych). The Diocesan Archive in Kielce stores the collection of calendars and catalogues of different dioceses and monastic provinces of Poland, containing 19th and 20th centuries prints and several old prints. Part of this collection are Cistercian calendars and catalogues (five old prints and six 19th century prints). The subject of research in this paper are Cistercian ecclesiastical directories and schematisms. The researched Cistercian prints come from the turn of the 18th century. It was the time of annexations and boundary changes in Poland. The directories and catalogues represent the changing jurisdictional affilliances of the Polish Cistercian monasteries. The discussed prints con- sist of the calendar – directory and the catalogue – schematism. The directory (directorium) – liturgical calendar – is a valuable source for research about the divine service of Polish Cistercians. A meaningful historical source is the catalogue of the monasteries and people, printed and co-published with the Directorium. An additional source is a list of deceased printed from 1803. From the eleven Cistercian prints preserved in the Diocesan Archive in Kielce, seven are not listed in the Bibliografia polska by Estreichers (from the Old Polish period five old prints, from the 19th century prints – two).

    Kazanie o Grobie Bożym ks. Jakuba Śliwskiego

    Kazanie ks. Jakuba Śliwskiego jest przykładem intelektunej refleksji nad ideą zakonu bożogrobców (stróże Grobu Bożego). Analizując treści o sądzie ostatecznym autor jednocześnie przekazał wiadomości historyczne oraz ascetyczno-mistyczne na temat zakonu bożogrobców. W narrację wbudowane zostały również treści współczesne - zagrożenie tatarskie południowo wschodnich kresów Rzeczpospolitej. Omówione kazanie świadczy o wykształceniu i umiejętnościach autora oraz o zrozumieniu wartości tekstu ze strony wydawcy. The sermon of Rev. Jakub Śliwski is an example of the intellectual reflection on the concept of the order of the Holy Sepulchre (Guardians of the Holy Sepulchre). Analysing the content on the Last Judgement, the author has simultaneously provided historical and ascetical and mystical information on the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. The narrative also includes contemporary content the Tartar threat to the south-eastern borderlands of the Republic of Poland. The sermon discussed reflects education and skills of the author, as well as the understanding of the text value from the publisher’s part.

    Konsekracja kościoła klasztornego Świętych Apostołów Piotra i Pawła w Imbramowicach w 1717 roku

    Klasztor imbramowski został założony w pierwszej połowie XIII wieku. W roku 1710 w wyniku pożaru zniszczone zostały zabudowania klasztorne wraz z kościołem. Kościół został odbudowany przez ksienię Zofię Grothównę. W dniu 29 sierpnia 1717 roku kościół został konsekrowany przez bp krakowskiego Kazimierza Łubieńskiego. Podstawę źródłową artykułu stanowi opis wydarzenia zamieszczony w kronice klasztornej Z. Grothówny oraz dokument konsekracji zachowany w Archiwum Kurii Metropolitalnej w Krakowie. Analiza źródeł oraz przebiegu uroczystości prowadzi do wniosku o dużym znaczeniu tego wydarzenia. Na uroczystość przybyli liczni przedstawiciele wyższego duchowieństwa diecezji krakowskiej oraz zakonów. Wśród uczestników byli teologowie oraz wybitny kompozytor epoki baroku ks. Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki. Prawdopodobnie w trakcie uroczystości koncertowała Kapela Katedralna z Krakowa. Zgromadzenie na konsekracji ważnych osób wskazuje na znaczenie wydarzenia i klasztoru imbramowskiego. Była to swoista demonstracja wiary katolickiej. The Convent of Imbramowice was founded in the first half of the 13th century. In 1710, the convent buildings and the church were destroyed in the fire. The church was rebuilt by prioress Zofia Grothówna. On 29 August 1717, the church was consecrated by Bishop Kazimierz Łubieński of Krakow. The article is based on two sources: the description of the event in Z. Grothówna’s convent chronicle and the document of consecration preserved in the Archive of the Metropolitan Cu- ria in Krakow. An analysis of the sources and the ceremony leads to the conclusion that this event was of considerable significance. Numerous representatives of the higher clergy of the Krakow Diocese and religious orders came to the ceremony. Among the participants were theologians and prominent Baroque composer Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki. Presumably, the Cathedral Orchestra of Krakow performed music at the above-mentioned ceremony. The presence of important people at the ceremony indicates the significance of this event and the Convent of Imbramowice. It was a vivid demonstration of the Catholic faith.

    Kościelne Dobra Kultury jako narzędzie formacji Christifideles laici przy Archiwum Diecezjalnym w Kielcach

    In 2010-2016 the recommendations worked by Pontifical Commission for Cultural Heritage of the Church (Pontificia Commissione per and Beni Culturali della Chiesa) were used. These recommendation concern the theme determined as cultural heritage of the Church. This term determines mainly the goods kept in the Church organisations: archives, libraries and museums. Cultural heritage of the Church of Kielce includes archive materials from 13th century, liturgical manuscripts (13th-16th century), theological manuscripts (14th-15th century), sacra pieces of art from Roman times and the others. The Wincenty Kadłubek’s society of Diocesan Archive Friends in Kielce established in 2012 was used in research. There was the group of Catholic intellectuals and Catholic intelligence, 60 people in total, in this society. It realised the scientific program “The Church role as form teacher and cultural heritage guardian”. As a part of this program a lot of papers in archive studies, bibliology, the history of Kielce diocese and the Church history were presented. The School of Kielce Diocese History came into existence in 2013. The program of three – year (Kielce) and two-year (Miechow) studies gathered the group of 150 people – the history lovers. The participants of studies got involved in prayers connected with shrines of Kielce diocese: Nowy Korczyn, Szczaworyż, Grodzisko near Skała, Miechów and others. The action in the fields of shrines concerns the transmitting the historical knowledge and practising the Christian prayers and participating in the liturgical service. The pilgrimage movement was led by priests – ministers of sanctuaries. Developed model of conducting research let 200 people gathered at the archive society. Cultural heritage of the Church became the tools of laypeople formation.

    Ksiądz Adam Tomasz Paszkowicz (†1834) kanonik kapituły krakowskiej, referent w sekcji duchownej rzymskokatolickiej w Komisji Wyznań Religijnych i Oświecenia Publicznego, wikariusz kapitulny archidiecezji warszawskiej (1831–1833), administrator części diecezji krakowskiej leżącej w Królestwie Polskim (1833-1834). Jako administrator w Kielcach porządkował spuściznę aktową i tworzył dokumentację nowej kancelarii Konsystorza Jeneralnego Części Diecezji Krakowskiej w Królestwie Polskim. Swoją pracę udokumentował m.in. w spisie bieżących akt o nazwie Indeks alfabetyczny aktów Konsystorza Jeneralnego Część Diecezji Krakowskiej w Królestwie Polskim z roku 1834. Stworzony przez ks. A. T. Paszkowicza inwentarz był formą wczesnego podziału rzeczowego produkcji kancelaryjnej. Father Adam Tomasz Paszkowicz († 1834) canon of the Chapter of Cracow, referent in the Roman Catholic clergy section of the Commission of Religion and Public Enlightenment, chapter vicar of the Archdiocese of Warsaw (1831-1833), administrator of the part of the Diocese of Cracow lying in the Kingdom of Poland (1833-1834). As administrator in Kielce he organized the legacy of records and created documentation for the new office of the General Consistory of the Cracow Diocese in the Kingdom of Poland. He documented his work, among others, in the inventory of current files called Alphabetical Index of files of the General Consistory part of the Diocese of Cracow in the Kingdom of Poland from 1834. The inventory created by Fr A. T. Paszkowicz was a form of early material division of chancery production.
