    Metamorphoses of General, Doctrinal and Practical Dimensions of Slovak Youth Religiosity

    The presented empirical study deals with the issues of metamorphoses of Slovak youth religiosity – specifically in three basic dimensions of religiosity, namely general, doctrinal, and practical – concretely during the years 2006–2016. The article is based on socio-religious reflection that relates to the main paradigms or scenarios of religious changes of young people in the contemporary world. The empirical parts of the article refer mainly to data from last four censuses in Slovakia and two sociological surveys of youth religiosity from the diocese of Spiš in northern Slovakia (Spiš, Liptov and Orava regions). The obtained data does not only support the scenario of advancing secularization and intensifying the phenomenon of “belonging without believing” among a large part of the young generation of Slovaks, but partially also the scenario of stabilization or even revitalization of religiosity among a certain part of Slovak youth.

    Wartości prorodzinne w świadomości młodzieży słowackiej w procesie przemian (2006 – 2011 – 2016)

    Prezentowane studium socjologiczne powstało i pozostaje w dziedzinie empirycznej socjologii moralności, która stara się opisywać oraz wyjaśniać rzeczywistość moralną. Głównym celem tego opracowania jest opis procesu przemian środowiska rodzinnego młodzieży słowackiej oraz jej postaw moralnych w zakresie życia małżeńskiego i rodzinnego. Studium składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej części przedstawione są główne współczesne modele przemian wartości prorodzinnych lub moralności małżeńsko-rodzinnej. Druga część prezentuje przemiany stosunków wewnątrzrodzinnych, trzecia część – przemiany stylów wychowania moralnego, czwarta zaś – przemiany w postawach badanych młodych ludzi w odniesieniu do wybranych małżeńsko-rodzinnych norm moralnych. Opracowanie opiera się przede wszystkim o trzy badania empiryczne, zrealizowane w latach 2006, 2011 i 2016. The present sociological study has arised and remains in area of empirical sociology of morality that aims to describe and explain moral reality. Its main goal is a description of the process of changes of Slovakian youth’s family environment and their moral attitudes in the area of marriage and family life. The study is composed of four parts. The first part presents the main models of changes in current pro-family values or marital and family morality. The second presents changes in intrafamily relations; the third focuses on changes in styles of moral education, while the fourth – on changes in attitudes of young people in relation to selected marriage and family moral norms. The study is based on three empirical researches carried out in 2006, 2011 and 2016.
